Meet The Owner

Ms. Alicia

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Alicia received her undergrad and master’s degree from Louisiana at Lafayette and is originally from the Lafayette area. 

Ms. Alicia is passionate about continuing education for our parents, therapists and continues to be in the day to day to run Unique Therapy. She is Beckman Oral Motor Certified and has received training through Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk and Diagnosis and Treatment of CAS Using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). She enjoys working with all children, but has taken  special interest working with children with Articulation disorders and children using AAC devices. Ms. Alicia is American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified and holds a license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.  

She enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids, and Ausiedoodle Reese.

Ms. Mattie

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Mattie received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. She is originally from the Lafayette, LA area, but she has been living in the Houston area for 9 years. 

Ms. Mattie has worked in various settings as a Speech-Language Pathologist, including skilled nursing facilities, schools, and pediatric home health. She is American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified and holds a license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas.  She enjoys working with all children but has a passion for articulation disorders and early language learners as well as helping parents learn tools to get their kiddo speaking more!

Ms. Mattie enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two sons who always keep her on her toes and busy! 

Ms. Abby

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Abby earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for nearly 10 years. She specializes in early intervention and language development, using play, literacy, music, and visual supports to enhance communication skills.

Ms. Abby has worked in elementary schools, providing therapy to PPCD/early childhood classrooms, and has additional training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She is ASHA certified and licensed in Texas. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family, especially her two daughters and husband.

Ms. Amye

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Amye received her undergrad and master’s degree from TCU. She is an Army Brat where she lived all over the world, and proud to have been part of the military family. 

She has worked in various settings including hospitals, clinics, trauma units and rehabilitation centers. Her areas of interest include swallowing and feeding, language development, and Neurology. 

Ms. Amye’s children are her world. She has a son and daughter and they keep her hands full! She is involved with pet rescues. She has 3 fur babies.

Ms. Gabby

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Gabby graduated from The University of Texas–Pan American in 2014 and later earned her master’s degree from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2016. Originally from Mission, Texas, she has happily made the Houston area her home for more than ten years.

She has spent most of her career serving children in school settings, with additional experience in pediatric private practice. As an ASHA‑certified and Texas‑licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist, she loves helping children grow their communication skills. She supports children
across a wide range of communication needs, with particular interest in phonological disorders and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

When she’s not in the therapy room, you’ll find Ms. Gabby baking sourdough bread, relaxing with a good book, or enjoying time with her husband and son.

Ms. Daniela

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Ms. Daniela has 12 years experience as a speech language pathologist assistant. She speaks, writes, and reads Spanish and English fluently. She has worked in a variety of settings including home health, therapy clinics, schools, and virtual /telehealth.

She has also worked with a wide variety of clients presenting with autism, intellectual disability, articulation disorders, and expressive/receptive language disorders as well as cerebral palsy.

Ms. Katherine

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Katherine is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with 23 years of experience helping children develop the communication skills they need to succeed at home, at school, and in their everyday lives. A lifelong Houston-area resident, Ms. Katherine earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and her graduate degree in speech-language pathology from Texas Woman’s University.

Throughout her career, Ms. Katherine has worked in a variety of settings, including public and private schools, outpatient clinics, home health, and private practice. This diverse experience has provided her with a well-rounded understanding of children’s communication needs and the
importance of individualized, functional, and family-centered care.

Ms. Katherine specializes in early childhood language development, receptive and expressive language disorders, and articulation and speech sound disorders. She is passionate about supporting children at every stage of communication development and helping them build meaningful skills that promote independence, confidence, and connection with others. 

Her approach to speech-language therapy emphasizes practical, functional communication and collaboration with families, educators, and other professionals. She believes that successful therapy extends beyond the therapy session and that empowering families with strategies they
can use in everyday routines is an essential part of helping children make meaningful progress.

In addition to working directly with children and families, Ms. Katherine enjoys mentoring fellow speech-language pathologists and supporting other professionals in providing high-quality, evidence-based services. Her experience across multiple settings allows her to bring a comprehensive perspective to assessment, treatment planning, and individualized intervention.

Ms. Katherine is passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families she serves. She strives to make every interaction purposeful, supportive, and focused on helping each child reach their fullest communication potential.

Ms. Jessica

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

For the past eight years, Ms. Jessica has worked within the school district
as an educator across various grade levels, specifically as an English
Language Arts teacher. Prior to her time in the classroom, she served as
a bilingual speech therapist for home health. In that role, she worked
extensively with neurodivergent children and students with both
articulation and language disorders.

Driven by her passion for this field, she is currently enrolled in the Texas
Woman’s University SLP graduate program. When she is not focused on
her studies or professional responsibilities, she enjoy spending time with her husband and three children. They love playing board games and hosting movie nights with family. In her spare time, she also enjoys working on word searches, or unwinding with a good TV show.

Ms. Lauren

Speech Pathologist

Ms. Lauren was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She earned her masters degree in communication sciences and disorders at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. From there, she gained experience as a clinician in the private practice and in the school-based setting.

Ms. Lauren has a strong background with the Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationships-Based model (DIR Floortime Model). DIR/Floortime was designed by child psychiatrists Dr. Stanley Greenspan and Dr. Serena Wieder to support children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, and other developmental challenges.

Her main experience is with the pediatric population. Special interests include early language, early intervention, and fluency disorders. Ms. Lauren is passionate about collaborating with families and parent coaching.

Her favorite part of the job is watching children grow in confidence with their communication skills.

When not at the clinic, Ms. Lauren is spending time with her family, catching up on reading, and exploring sights in the Houston area.

Ms. Natalie

Office Coordinator / Client Support

Ms. Natalie was born and raised in Colorado and relocated to Houston in 2018 with her husband and son. She is happy to call Texas her new home!

With a background in non-profit and administrative work, Ms. Natalie is a helper and ready to step in and be of assistance! She loves being a part of a team that brings a much needed assistance to kids in our community. She strives to connect with families on a personal level and enjoys watching them succeed every day!

In her spare time she enjoys reading, art, and traveling with her husband and son!
